Building Strong Partnerships and a Shared Commitment to Excellence!

We had the pleasure of welcoming representatives from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) to Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center for a very positive and productive visit focused on our Competency Restoration Program.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share ideas, review our processes, and work together to ensure our program continues to meet regulatory standards, maintain program fidelity, and fulfill reporting requirements.

We truly appreciate the time, guidance, and collaboration provided by our HHSC partners. Visits like these remind us of the importance of working together, maintaining open communication, and continuously finding ways to strengthen the care and services we provide.

A special thank you to our HHSC partners and our incredible team for their dedication, hard work, and shared commitment to doing what's right for those we serve.

Great partnerships make a difference, and we're grateful to have them!

Building Stronger Communities Through Connection and Collaboration

It was a pleasure welcoming the Odessa Study Club to Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center for a tour of our facility and an opportunity to learn more about the important work being done to expand access to behavioral healthcare in our community.

As healthcare leaders, our responsibility extends beyond the walls of our hospital. It's about building meaningful relationships, encouraging open conversations, and ensuring our community knows where to turn when behavioral health services are needed.

We're grateful to the Odessa Study Club for taking the time to visit, ask questions, and learn more about the services we provide to individuals and families throughout the Permian Basin.

I'm especially proud of our team and the compassion, dedication, and professionalism they bring to their work every day. Opportunities like this reinforce the importance of community partnerships and remind us that meaningful progress in behavioral healthcare happens when we work together.

Our goal is simple: strengthen relationships, increase awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure those who need care know that help and hope are available.

Last week we were honored to welcome Midland County Judge Marquez for a tour of the Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center.

The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the thoughtful design of the facility and our vision for bringing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services together to better serve individuals and families across our region.

Judge Marquez shared:

“Thank you Gran with PBBHC for the tour of this wonderful facility. The Purpose-built center in all its glory and esthetics (lighting and landscape) will in no doubt bring together inpatient and outpatient for the best outcome and results in my opinion. My wishes are to see all phases deliver under one roof soon. I am confident with the leadership it will.”

We appreciate Judge Marquez taking the time to visit and learn more about the work underway at PBBHC. We look forward to continuing to build a comprehensive behavioral health system that our community can rely on for years to come.

Operational Update — PBBHC

We’re pleased to share that DNV has completed its accreditation survey of our hospital, and the process went extremely well.

During the survey, the DNV team shared that PBBHC was further along than other startup psychiatric hospitals they had reviewed and spoke very highly of both our facility and our operational practices. We expect to receive our accreditation certification any day now.

In addition, we anticipate receiving our Medicare certification within the next 60–90 days. This is an important milestone for PBBHC and reflects the tremendous work our team has put into building a strong, safe, and high-quality behavioral healthcare program from the ground up.

As we continue expanding our services and strengthening our presence in the behavioral health community, we want to be clear: we have no financial barriers limiting our ability to move forward, grow, or invest in our organization.

We have the financial strength and resources necessary to support our team, our patients, our operations, and the continued development of PBBHC.

Our focus remains on responsible, sustainable growth and building an organization that is positioned for long-term success.

We are confident in the future of PBBHC and excited about what lies ahead.
