Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center would like to share an important operational update with our West Texas community.

As we continue progressing through our phased opening process, we are completing final operational readiness activities to ensure services are introduced safely, responsibly, and in a coordinated manner.

At this time:
Coordinated referral-based admissions are anticipated to begin June 1, pending final operational readiness activities and approval processes
Initial inpatient services will be introduced in a limited capacity during this phase of opening
Services are currently being implemented through a coordinated referral process during this phase of opening

Individuals experiencing a mental health emergency or urgent crisis should continue seeking care through:
Local hospital emergency departments
911 or EMS services
Local crisis response resources

As operational capacity expands and additional services become available, further updates will be shared with the community.

We appreciate your patience, support, and partnership as we work to expand behavioral health services for West Texas.

Please join us in welcoming Jonathan Scott as the Executive Chef for Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center!

With more than 25 years of experience spanning luxury hospitality, fine dining, entertainment venues, and behavioral healthcare, Jonathan brings a passion for culinary excellence, leadership, and elevated guest experiences. His career includes leading large-scale culinary operations, serving high-profile guests, and being featured on the Food Network and regional television outlets.

At PBBHC, Jonathan is leading the development of our dietary department with a hospitality-driven approach focused on scratch-made meals, compassionate service, and creating a dining experience centered on dignity, comfort, and healing for our patients and staff. We are excited to have his talent, innovation, and leadership as part of our team!

PBBHC is excited to welcome Fernando Acosta as our new Chief Financial Officer!

Fernando brings over 30 years of finance and accounting experience across healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, manufacturing, retail, and education sectors. He has specialized in healthcare finance since 2009 and behavioral health since 2018.

Fernando holds an Executive MBA and a degree in Accounting with a minor in HR Management. We are excited to have him join the PBBHC leadership team!
