Midtowne Meadows Health & Rehab Skilled Nursing & Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services

- Midtowne Meadows Health and Rehab, a part of HACO Health Solutions and sister location to the award-winning Highland Meadows in Rockwall, is excited to announce near completion of their new skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. With an anticipated opening in May of 2023, Midtowne Meadows offers 121 beds for patients seeking rehabilitation care from surgery or illness as well as long-term

resident care. Russell and Gracen Hawley, long time Midlothian residents, serve as owners of the new facility and feel a personal connection to local patients and staff. “Providing high quality, comprehensive rehabilitation is the priority for our organization, and for each member of our dedicated team” states Hawley. This commitment can be found in our focus on healing the whole person - physically, emotionally and spiritually - throughout each stage of the healing process. Whether seeking short or long-term care, patients and their loved ones will discover that our licensed professionals carefully develop individualized care plans in order to provide the highest quality of care possible, enabling patients to reach their personal goals. Additionally, we sincerely value social connection, therefore we provide daily activities and open visitation for family and friends.”
A full range of care options include physical, speech and occupational therapy, orthopedic care, stroke recovery, cardiac rehab and more. Supported by licensed and experienced staff and onsite physician specialists dedicated to the same goal of high-quality care, Midtowne Meadows is uniquely positioned to become the Midlothian area’s senior care facility of choice. Centrally located in the heart of town near area hospitals and senior amenities, Midlothian Meadows offers convenience in an updated, modern environment. One of the many features patients will appreciate is the private room option with a dedicated shower – a distinctive feature setting them apart from other nursing and rehab centers.

Who says exercise has to happen in a gym? 😊

A simple beach ball can encourage reaching, stretching, hand-eye coordination, reaction time, and movement, all while bringing residents together for a fun and engaging activity.

These moments may look like play, but they're also helping support physical health, social connection, and overall well-being.

A little time outdoors can make a big difference. 🌿☀️

Whether it's enjoying fresh air with friends, taking a walk, or simply spending time in a peaceful outdoor space, being outside can support both physical and emotional well-being. For those recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, outdoor time can help boost mood, encourage movement, promote social connection, and provide a welcome change of scenery.

Sometimes, healing happens one step, one conversation, and one sunny day at a time!

Can you guess the photo? 🔍

Residents recently put their observation skills to the test with a game featuring close-up images of everyday objects. It sounds easy, but once you're zoomed in, it's a lot harder than you might think!

There is no single definition of success in physical therapy.

Treatment plans are highly individualized because no two people have the same health history, lifestyle, goals, or challenges.

A physically active older adult recovering from a knee replacement may have very different goals than someone managing multiple chronic conditions or recovering from a prolonged hospital stay.

Physical therapists assess each person's unique needs and create a personalized plan designed to help them reach their own definition of success.

Common areas addressed in physical therapy include:
• Strength and muscle conditioning
• Balance and fall prevention
• Walking and mobility training
• Joint flexibility and range of motion
• Endurance and cardiovascular conditioning
• Pain management
• Post-surgical rehabilitation
• Recovery after illness or hospitalization
• Assistive device training (walkers, canes, wheelchairs)
• Functional activities such as transferring, standing, and navigating stairs

Ultimately, physical therapy is not simply about treating an injury. It is about helping people remain as healthy, strong, capable, and independent as possible, whether that means returning to previous activities, adapting to new circumstances, or continuing to enjoy everyday life with confidence and safety!

When Micah King's mother suffered an unexpected stroke, she set one goal for herself: to attend her grandson Kooper's graduation. After a week in the hospital, she came to Midtowne Meadows for rehabilitation. Our team learned about her goal and even placed photos of her grandchildren in her room as a daily reminder of what she was working toward.

Although her recovery was expected to take six weeks, she worked hard and exceeded expectations, returning home after just three! Today, she continues her progress through outpatient therapy at Midtowne Meadows, and we're honored to remain part of her recovery journey.

Thank you, Micah, for your heartfelt words and for trusting Midtowne Meadows with your mother's care. Stories like yours remind us why we do what we do every day. ❤️

Keeping minds engaged and hands moving! Residents enjoyed a fun coordination game this week, using grabber tools to collect and sort colorful balls. Activities like these help encourage focus, dexterity, and plenty of smiles along the way!
