☀️ As the weather warms up, heat and sweat can make breakouts more likely. Sweating from workouts or time outdoors can mix with oil and bacteria, leading to clogged pores and acne flare-ups. The good news is you can stay active and keep your skin clear with a few simple habits.

Skincare tips before, during, and after your workout:
➡️ Remove makeup before exercising
➡️ Wear clean workout clothes
➡️ Apply an oil-free, non-comedogenic sunscreen if you are heading outdoors
➡️ Use a clean towel to gently blot sweat
➡️ Shower and cleanse your face as soon as possible after your workout

Consistent skincare can help prevent breakouts, even as the heat picks up. Need personalized guidance for acne-prone skin? 📞 Call Midlothian Dermatology at (804) 378-3048 to schedule a consultation.

💉 Smooth Lines. Natural Results.

Expression lines like the “11s” between the brows, forehead lines, and crow’s feet develop over time from repeated muscle movement. Neurotoxins such as Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin work by gently relaxing these muscles to soften lines and prevent them from deepening.

At Midlothian Dermatology, Dr. Erin Adams performs every injection herself, using a precise, individualized approach to achieve results that look refreshed — never frozen.

✨ Softens existing lines
✨ Helps prevent deeper wrinkles
✨ Maintains natural expression

Experience and technique matter when it comes to injectables — and your results.

It's Almost May which is Skin Cancer Awareness Month ☀️

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the U.S., and prevention plus early detection can make a meaningful difference. Daily sun protection is one of the simplest ways to support long-term skin health.

A few habits we recommend as we head into outdoor season:
• Wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every day 🧴
• Reapply every 2 hours, and after swimming or sweating 🔁
• Seek shade during peak sun hours ⛱️
• Skip tanning beds and intentional tanning 🚫

If you notice a new, changing, or concerning spot, do not wait. 📞 Call (804) 378-3048 to schedule a skin check with Dr. Adams.

🔍 Your skin health matters! If you find a concerning spot during your self-examination, take action. 🚀

👩‍⚕️ Schedule an appointment at Midlothian Dermatology for a professional skin cancer examination. Don't delay! 📅

ℹ️ Especially if you have risk factors like light skin, family history of skin cancer, radiation exposure, tanning bed use, weakened immunity, or a history of serious scarring. 🩺🦠

Your skin, your health - let's take care of it! 💪🌞

It’s okay to move on from biotin. 🍓💛

For many people, high-dose biotin is not the hair growth solution it’s marketed to be, and it can also interfere with certain lab tests. If you are looking for a more targeted option, we often recommend Xtressé Hair Growth Gummies.

Why we like Xtressé instead:
• Biotin-free and dermatologist-developed
• Supports hair wellness from the inside out
• Includes the X3-BioActive Blend with nutrients and botanicals such as NAD+, taurine, pumpkin seed extract, saw palmetto, horsetail, ashwagandha, and turmeric
• Strawberry flavor and an easy daily routine, just 2 gummies

Want to know if Xtressé is a good fit for your hair goals?

As we age, collagen production naturally slows down, which can lead to skin that looks thinner, duller, and less firm. Microneedling helps stimulate collagen and elastin to support smoother, healthier-looking skin over time. ✨

Microneedling uses ultra-fine needles to create controlled microchannels in the skin, triggering your body’s natural repair process. The result is gradual, natural-looking improvement in skin quality with a refreshed glow, and it’s safe for all skin types. 🌟

Microneedling can help:
✅ Soften fine lines and wrinkles
✅ Improve tone and texture
✅ Minimize the look of enlarged pores
✅ Support smoother-looking acne scars
✅ Enhance product absorption

📞 Call (804) 378-3048 to schedule your microneedling appointment.
