Do you know what psoriasis is?

Psoriasis is a chronic (long lasting) skin condition that happens when the immune system builds skin cells too quickly. It’s often caused by genetics or triggered by stress, illness or certain medicines.

Although there’s no cure for psoriasis, your doctor can help you manage your symptoms with medication and lifestyle changes.

This National Health Center Week, we’re uplifting the community health centers working every day to make quality, affordable care accessible to all Utahns.

Community health centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) are vital organizations that deliver primary care, behavioral health, and preventive services to individuals and families regardless of their ability to pay. Utah is home to 12 community health centers, which operate 53 clinics and provide care to nearly 140,000 people each year.

With there being so many rural Utahns, health centers are all the more important in our state. We’re grateful to the providers, care teams and staff who make community health centers a trusted source of care for Utah families every day.

This week, we honor the crucial role community health centers have played for many decades. National health centers deliver accessible, high-quality care to millions of people throughout America each day, strengthening the health and well-being of communities large and small.

At Molina Healthcare, we’re proud to join in this year’s theme: “Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most.” We celebrate the continued creativity and commitment to meeting patients where they are and improving primary care delivery, access and outcomes nationwide.

Thank you to all the providers, staff and advocates working to deliver better health outcomes in our communities.
