📸 Meet Midwest City’s Crisis Intervention Response Team (CIRT)
Our CIRT team pairs specially trained Midwest City Police Department officers with mental health professionals to respond to situations involving mental health crises, substance use emergencies, and severe emotional distress. Their mission is specific: de-escalate, connect individuals with the right resources, and promote safety for everyone involved. And yes… Miles the Therapy Dog MWCPD is part of the team too! 🐾💙
CIRT works closely with hospitals, behavioral health providers, mobile crisis teams, and community organizations to help individuals find long term support and the care they need.
We’re also excited to share that we will now be offering mental health tips every to help support our community’s overall well-being.
