Meet Dennis, our July Resident Spotlight! 🌟

Dennis is from Odebolt, IA, where he spent his life dedicated to farming. After graduating high school, he stepped right into running the family farm when his father passed away, raising both pigs and cattle—though he always felt a stronger connection to cattle. Farming became more than just work for Dennis; it was his way of life, leaving little time for outside hobbies because the farm always came first. One of his favorite memories is finally getting a tractor that started the way it should—his John Deere green! 🚜🐮🐷

Family has always been an important part of Dennis’s story. His mother remained on the farm as long as she could, and the land is now part of an estate, continuing its legacy. He has faced difficult moments, including the loss of his older brother, which he describes as one of the toughest experiences of his life. These experiences have helped shape his strength and perspective over the years. ❤️

At Accura, Dennis enjoys playing Bingo and looks forward to the fun and connection it brings. His advice to younger generations is to find something meaningful to hold onto, like the farm, and continue building on it. 🌱

Dennis’s dedication, resilience, and steady presence make him someone we truly appreciate having at Accura HealthCare of Milford! 👏🩵

Meet Tiffany, our June Staff Spotlight! 🌟

Tiffany has been part of Accura Healthcare as a Certified Nursing Assistant for nearly 18 years, including 13 years in Spirit Lake and 5 years in Milford. Her entire career has been dedicated to healthcare, and she brings steady commitment and compassion to those she cares for each day. 🧡

Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys gardening and spending time with her family. She has three children, ages 24, 18, and 13, along with two dogs—a Pomeranian and a Cavapoo. She also has close family nearby, including her mom and sister, while her brother lives in Texas. 🥰🐾

Tiffany enjoys getting lost in a good mystery book, with Gone Girl being one of her favorites—she even thinks it’s better than the movie. One of the more unique foods she has tried is moose, made into tacos, which she said was just okay. 📚🌮

Looking ahead, Tiffany would love to learn how to ride a horse and play the piano. If she could travel anywhere, Hawaii would be her top choice for the sunshine and scenery. ☀️🎹

Tiffany’s years of dedication and the care she shows each day make a meaningful difference, and we’re grateful to have her as part of the team! 🩵

We touched up on our basketball skills today! 🏀 From shooting free throws to trying our luck at making a three-pointer, everyone gave it their best shot.

This was a fun game, and we all enjoyed the challenge, the friendly competition, and plenty of laughs along the way! 😊
