💚 Rehab Success Story: From Stroke to Home! 💚

We’re proud to celebrate Henri and the incredible progress he made during his stay at MediLodge of Milford! 👏

After experiencing a stroke, Henri came to us for rehabilitation with a goal of getting strong enough to return home. Through dedicated Physical and Occupational Therapy, hard work, and plenty of determination, Henri made meaningful progress and was able to successfully return home after his rehabilitation stay. 🏡✨

Henri shared:

“OT and PT were outstanding. They were very engaging with myself and others. I found their techniques to be very effective. They were always available for questions and concerns.”

That’s exactly what we strive for every day—effective therapy, compassionate care, and a team that is there for our residents every step of the way. 💪💚

Congratulations, Henri! We’re so happy to see you heading home and wish you continued success on your journey! 🎉

Our team works hard caring for our residents every day, and we love having an opportunity to give back to them and their families, too!

It’s always exciting to see our community come together, and we’re thrilled to support an event that brings so much energy, fun, and connection to Milford!

This year, Medilodge of Milford is getting involved in more ways than one! We’re honored to be one of the First Responder Appreciation Sponsors, recognizing the incredible men and women who serve and protect our community.

We’re also proud to be a sponsor of the YMCA 5K Run, put together a team for the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, and even volunteer at the Beer Tent Friday night!

Did you know? Skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes are not quite the same.

Skilled nursing provides physician-directed medical care and rehabilitation after an illness, injury, or surgery. Nursing homes primarily provide ongoing help with daily living.

Skilled nursing stays are often short-term and recovery-focused (though can be ongoing to treat chronic conditions,) while nursing home care is usually long-term.

We offer skilled nursing care, both long and short-term, at all our Medilodge facilities. Reach out to us and schedule a tour to learn more!

This week we're excited to shine the spotlight on Dawn, one of our amazing Laundry Aides!

For the past 16 months, Dawn has been an important part of the MediLodge of Milford team. While her work often happens behind the scenes, the impact she has is felt throughout our building. From residents' personal clothing to the facility linens we use every day, Dawn takes great pride in making sure everything is fresh, clean, and ready when it's needed. She does her job with joy, and if there's one thing Dawn wanted everyone to know, it's that she truly loves her job—and it shows in the care she puts into her work each day.

When asked about her favorite part of the workday, Dawn shared that it's seeing everyone's smiling faces. 😊

A few fun facts about Dawn:
💚 Her drink of choice is a Monster Bad Apple energy drink.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 She is the proud mom of seven children and grandmother to an incredible 17 grandchildren!
💎 If she had the day off tomorrow, she'd spend it making memories with her grandkids and working on her Diamond Dot paintings.

Thank you, Dawn, for everything you do behind the scenes to help keep our residents comfortable and cared for. Your dedication, positive spirit, and love for what you do make a difference every single day, and we're so grateful to have you as part of the MediLodge of Milford family! 💚
