✨ Did you know? Continuous support during labor is associated with better birth outcomes. ✨

Research has consistently shown that people who receive continuous support during labor are more likely to have a spontaneous vaginal birth, less likely to need pain medication, and may experience shorter labors and greater satisfaction with their birth experience.

A trained birth doula provides emotional support, physical comfort measures, evidence-based information, and advocacy support throughout the labor process. Importantly, doulas complement—not replace—your medical care team.

And support doesn’t stop after birth.

The postpartum period is a major physical, emotional, and psychological transition. Studies suggest that postpartum support can improve breastfeeding outcomes, increase parental confidence, and reduce feelings of isolation during the fourth trimester.

Birth is a day. Postpartum is a season. ❤️

Whether you’re preparing for labor or navigating life with a newborn, having support can make a meaningful difference.

🌧️🇺🇸 The rain is a gentle reminder that not every day needs to be productive in the traditional sense. Sometimes the most important thing you can do is rest.🇺🇸🌧️

This Memorial Day weekend, while we honor and remember those who have served our country, I hope expecting parents can also find moments of peace, reflection, and self-care.

Take a nap. Drink the water. Put your feet up. Connect with your baby.

You are doing important work. 🫶🏼

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! ❤️🤍💙

If you’re hoping for a natural vaginal birth, preparation goes far beyond just writing a birth plan.

It takes intention—physically, mentally, and emotionally. If your daily routine is low-impact or you’re not moving much, it’s important to start prioritizing movement and strength. Your body plays a big role in this process.

Just as important is the inner work. Taking time to reflect, heal, and care for your emotional well-being matters more than most people realize because those things often show up during pregnancy and birth.

And while hiring a doula can be incredibly supportive, they aren’t there to “fix” everything. Real preparation comes from the work you do for yourself.

Birth is as much a mental and emotional journey as it is a physical one. Prepare for all of it 🫶🏼
