Babies aren’t consciously working against you in labor. They aren’t naughty, or difficult, or trying to make labor longer for you.

Maybe they’re working to get out of your hip bone where their head is stuck. Maybe they’re working to tuck their chin after having an asynclitic head tilt. Maybe they’re working to move down into your pelvis even with the cord wrapped around them. Maybe they’re working to turn from posterior to anterior.

You work as a team, together.

They’re working hard in labor — just like you. You’ve got this. 💪🏽
