Last month we sat with visibility and receiving. This month we go a layer deeper — into the dynamic of Take and Allow.

So much of the hurt we carry comes from this exact place. Taking without asking. Being taken from. Learning that our “no” didn’t matter, or that wanting something for ourselves made us too much. Somewhere along the way, many of us stopped taking — and stopped allowing ourselves to be taken from safely — because it got tangled up with violation instead of choice.

But there is another side. The healing side. The one where we step back into the circle of consent and remember: taking, when it’s honest and asked-for, is not the same as taking without permission. Allowing, when it’s a real yes, is not the same as collapsing into what we didn’t choose.

This circle, we’ll explore what it feels like in the body to ask for what we want — and take it, cleanly. And what it feels like to allow someone else to take, while still honoring the boundary that says this far, and no further.

There will be touch work, held with care and consent at every step. There will be nervous system tracking. There will be space to feel where this dynamic has hurt you, and where it can become a place you come home to instead.

There’s a particular kind of fear in being seen. Not performed-for, not admired-at — actually seen, in the parts of us that never learned it was safe to take up space or be witnessed.

Alongside this can exist the quiet fear of receiving. Letting something come to you without immediately reaching for the “and how can I give this back to you” reflex. Asking for what you actually want. Noticing what happens in your body and nervous system when someone gives you their full attention and you let it land rather than deflecting.

This circle, we will explore both. Together we will move slowly through nervous system tracking, movement and touch work to see what it feels like to receive without earning it first. There will probably be some nervous laughter, because that’s what happens when we stop performing and start actually feeling.

If your body tenses at “you don’t have to give anything back” — that’s exactly the terrain we’re working in.
Come as you are, leave a little bit more able to receive.

Anxiety has become a word we throw around constantly — and for good reason. We feel it. It’s real. The racing thoughts, the tight chest, the sense that something is wrong or about to be. These are legitimate signals from a nervous system doing its job.
What gets talked about less is what anxiety is actually pointing toward.
In Martha Beck’s book “Beyond Anxiety” she speaks to this— that beneath anxiety lives something else entirely. Unmet longing. Unexpressed creativity. A self that wants to move, make, connect, and contribute but learned somewhere along the way that it wasn’t safe to do so. Anxiety, in this light, is the messenger rather than the problem and is just a gateway to something greater.
The invitation in this practice is to get curious rather than afraid. What if the energy underneath your anxiety isn’t a threat — but a creative impulse that hasn’t found its form yet? What story did you learn about what happens when you take up space, make something, or follow what genuinely lights you up?
We will move through somatic inquiry and nervous system practices to explore anxiety not as something to fix, but as a doorway. This is not therapy — it is a space to build awareness, which leads to choice, and choice leads to something that feels a lot more like freedom.
Come explore with community on Tuesday June 2nd, bring a friend who’s ready to get curious with you.

Discussion around boundaries has become a buzz word that is utilized in the name of protection. This part of boundary work is much easier to see and feel. The parts where we have felt violated whether physically, energetically or both. We feel hurt, angry, confused, scared, disgusted and grief rises. These are all appropriate responses to having our boundaries crossed.
The part of boundary work that is less discussed is the area that we will focus on in practice. Containment. It’s often more the difficult area to look at because it requires deep accountability. This can be difficult if we have the tendency to shame and blame ourselves instead of holding an observation perspective of curiosity and awareness. Where do you tend to leak out onto others around you?
We will move through some deep inquiry practices around this topic and get curious about what this experience is like in our nervous system and the impact it has on those around us. This is not meant to be therapy but a space to build more awareness which will lead to choice and increased sovereignty.

What does it mean to consciously create?
Carl Jung said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
As humans, we are natural-born creators. Whether we are aware of it or not, we are constantly creating—through our thoughts, emotions, and responses.
Have you ever had a perfectly good day, and then suddenly found yourself starting a fight over something small?
Or noticed an unexpectedly strong reaction to something that, on the surface, seemed harmless?
These are moments of unconscious creation—patterns shaped by our deeply intelligent, predictive nervous system.
What becomes possible when we begin to tune into our inner world with presence?
When we create space between stimulus and response, and access choice instead of reaction?
Conscious creation doesn’t mean we bypass intensity or avoid the full spectrum of human emotion.
It means we develop the capacity to be with what arises—to hold it, to feel it, and to respond in ways that are aligned with who we truly are.
Spring invites us into renewal. It’s a potent time to reflect on the seeds we’ve already planted—and to intentionally choose what we want to grow moving forward.
Come explore this together in community.
