💙 It’s National Case Management Week! We're celebrating Rob Sharkey, RN, Amber Mills, CACTS, and Jill Boykin, LPN, for the important work they do at JCMC! Our Case Management team helps coordinate patient care, connects patients with the services they need, and supports patients and families throughout the healthcare process.

➡Also known as Utilization Management, this team coordinates referrals to our Swing Bed Program for patients who need more time to recover before returning home. They also focus on connecting patients with the specialized mental health care available through our Behavioral Health Unit.

Whether advocating for patients, coordinating care, connecting families with resources or helping navigate complex healthcare needs, this team makes a difference every day. 💐 Thank you, Rob, Amber and Jill, for the compassion, dedication and support you provide to our patients and their families. We're fortunate to have such a wonderful team at JCMC! 💙

🎉 It's Healthcare Quality Week, and we're celebrating Kayla Patrick, BSN, RN, Chief Quality Officer at JCMC!
💙 Providing safe, high-quality care takes more than what happens at the bedside. There's a lot of important work going on behind the scenes, and Kayla plays a big part in making it happen! From monitoring patient safety and reviewing policies to improving processes and promoting best practices, Kayla works with departments throughout the hospital to help make patient care safer and better.
✨ Kayla also oversees Compliance for the entire organization and helps support a safe, healthy environment for our patients and staff. It's often the little details that make a big difference. Kayla's attention to those details and her commitment to continuous improvement help our entire team provide the quality care our patients deserve.

TORNADO WATCH now in effect for the counties in red until 8pm tonight. I'm seeing some weak rotation now in Jenkins County moving north towards Burke County, and another area south of Screven County. We will keep you updated!

🧠 October 10 is World Mental Health Day! We all know how important it is to take care of our physical health, but taking care of our mental health is just as important. And sometimes, it's the little things we do each day that can make a difference.

💚 Give yourself a break. It's okay to slow down and take time for yourself.

💚 Spend time with people who make you feel good and do things you enjoy.

💚 Don't feel like you have to handle everything on your own. We all need someone to lean on sometimes.

💚 If you're struggling, talk to someone. There's no shame in asking for help.

World Mental Health Day is a good reminder to check in on ourselves and the people around us. A little kindness, understanding and support can go a long way.

It’s Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week, and we’re celebrating the team that keeps things cooking at JCMC! 🍽️ This year, we decided to have a little fun. We matched each team member with a favorite dish that fits her personality. Take a look at our graphic and see if you think we got it right! 😁

Led by Renay Neal, JCMC’s Dietary Director, our team includes Christine Coney, Sunshine Lane, Linda Lockhart, Kamecia Newton and Dora Wells.

From preparing meals for our patients to keeping the cafeteria running for staff and visitors, this team stays busy from early morning until the last meal is served. Much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their work is an important part of each day at JCMC.

Please join us in thanking Renay, Christine, Sunshine, Linda, Kamecia and Dora for all they do and wishing them a very happy Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week! ❤️

🌧️ Wet and Wild About Wellness! 🦁 A little rain couldn’t dampen our enthusiasm at Saturday’s Fair on the Square Parade! Our JCMC team and their families had a great time along the parade route with this year’s safari-themed float, Wild About Wellness! 🌿🐯

At JCMC, we’re always exploring new ways to care for our community, so we thought a safari adventure was the perfect fit! 🦒🌿

Thank you to everyone who joined us, helped with the float, walked the parade route and cheered us on along the way. We had a WILD time, rain and all! 💚

And thank you to the Jenkins County Chamber of Commerce for once again hosting another great parade!
