When she enters a home, she does not take over, rather she asks questions. She immediately wants to know how she can make their day better. She will ask “how can I make you more comfortable?” She is great at finding small details to brighten a client’s day, whether it’s opening the curtains that normally remain closed, playing music, or bringing her own games to interact with the client.”

Today, Visiting Angels of Central Maryland’s Caregiver Appreciation Team proudly celebrates Linda Akoto as our Military Spouse Spotlight for the month! 🌟

Linda was honored with our prestigious “Heart of Service” Award in May 2026 for her extraordinary dedication and compassion as a caregiver with Visiting Angels of Central Maryland. Over the past three years, Linda has made a meaningful impact in the lives of more than 20 clients and their families, helping seniors age safely and comfortably at home while surrounded by the people they love most.
