At CWB, we believe every child deserves access to healthcare and the opportunity to grow up healthy and thrive.

Across Costa Rica, CECUDI centers, or Child Care and Development Centers, provide essential support to families by offering children a safe, caring environment while their parents work or study. Beyond childcare, these centers help meet children’s basic needs and support their overall development. For families facing financial hardship or social vulnerability, this support can make a world of difference.

That is why CWB’s medical outreach at these centers is so important. By bringing healthcare directly to the children, we help families access medical assessments, identify potential health concerns, and receive recommendations for further care. Our physicians can also prescribe medication, which we provide at no cost to families.

Recently, we visited CECUDI Esparza in Puntarenas, where two skilled doctors and two dedicated volunteers helped bring medical care to 76 children.

Each visit allows us not only to care for children, but also to better understand the needs of the communities we serve.

We are deeply grateful to the center staff, our medical professionals, volunteers, and donors who make this work possible.

Together, we will continue bringing care, compassion, and hope to children throughout Costa Rica, helping build a healthier future, one child at a time.

We're raising money to expand our clinics for Indigenous communities in hard to reach areas of Costa Rica. The children in these communities have a hard time accessing hospitals and medical care, so we bring it directly to them - for free. At CWB we believe that every child deserves to feel cared for, supported, and given the opportunity to grow up healthy.

Recently, our team visited the CECUDI Center in Escobal de Belén, in Heredia, Costa Rica, the Geographic Center of the country. We brought a medical clinic directly to the children who attend the center, which is a daycare and early childhood education center.

With the support of two dedicated volunteers and a skilled physician, our team provided complete medical assessments for each child, listening carefully to their needs and providing follow up recommendations and free medication when necessary. We made sure each child got the attention they deserve.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this outreach possible.

Dear members of the Children’s Well-Being (CWB) Foundation,

We are writing to you on behalf of the entire community at the Playtime Montessori Child Center to express our sincere gratitude for the valuable medical care visit—which included assessments for 52 children (diagnoses, weight, height, and oral health checks), as well as the distribution of medication and deworming treatments—conducted at our facilities this past Tuesday, August 4th.

Activities such as this not only safeguard our students’ physical health but also strengthen their emotional well-being and academic performance.

We deeply value your foundation’s social commitment and the warmth and kindness shown to each of the children. Gestures like yours truly make a difference.

Recently, CWB had the privilege of conducting a clinic at the Maná Educational Center and Church in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

During the event, our team provided comprehensive exams to 52 children, identifying their primary health needs and offering appropriate recommendations. Thanks to our partnership with Calox Central America, we were also able to provide the necessary medicine for free.

We are especially grateful to the team at the Maná Educational Center and Church for their outstanding support and organization, which helped make the event efficient and very successful.

These clinics allow us to bring essential health services to children in need while strengthening our commitment to communities across Costa Rica.
