Every Bar Gives Back. Today, we proved it.

One of the promises I made when I started Stable Hands Soap Co. was that every bar would give back to our community. Today, because of your support, we were able to fulfill that promise.

During the month of May, we donated 100% of the proceeds from our Memorial Day Collection to the Honor HER Foundation of Northwest Florida Thanks to all of you, we raised $400.

When I asked what they needed most, they didn’t ask for anything extravagant. They simply needed two screen doors for their facility so the women veterans they serve could enjoy a fresh breeze and one of life’s simple comforts. We purchased both doors, all the hardware, and thanks to my friend Bill, a fellow veteran, they’re being installed and painted.

We were also honored to help answer Honor Her’s recent all call for diapers, wipes, clothing, formula, and other essentials for a local female veteran and her two young children during a difficult time. None of this happened because of me. It happened because of you. 👏🏼🫶🏼

Every soap you purchased became something real for someone else. Together, we supported an organization that provides safe housing, hope, and resources for women who served our country. This is so important. Having served myself I’ve first hand witnessed the sacrifices women veterans make each day and how many of those sacrifices and accomplishes while serving go unrecognized. That’s why this matters so much!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who supported Stable Hands Soap Co. throughout May, especially those who purchased our Memorial Day bars. You didn’t just buy soap, you made a difference!

Made with coconut oil, shea butter, olive oil, turmeric, bentonite clay, kaolin clay, activated charcoal, and local raw honey, these bars are gentle, fragrance-free, and contain no exfoliants. The bentonite clay and activated charcoal help lift away dirt and impurities, while turmeric gives the soap its beautiful golden color and is loved by many for the healthy-looking glow it helps promote.

The star ingredient is the raw local honey from our friends at ECS Apis in Cantonment, Florida. This delicious honey is packed with the moisturizing and skin-loving qualities that make it such a wonderful addition to soap. 🍯

Sometimes a soap doesn’t turn out how I envisioned. While it may be less than what I want to place into the hands of my customers, it’s not a fail, it’s an opportunity to create something even better for you!

Here, I am shaving down an entire batch of mildly fruity bars from 3 weeks ago that just didn’t look nor smell how I intended. So… I improvise.

Soap crafting is expensive and I don’t believe in wasting anything. I simply go back to the drawing board and shift an oopsy into an opportunity.

🌟 Local Spotlight: Chumuckla Springs Resort/ Rv Park 🌟

At Stable Hands Soap Co., we believe in supporting local businesses whenever we can. There are so many hidden gems in our community, and we’d love to start highlighting some of our favorites.

This week’s local shout-out goes to Chumuckla Springs Resort & RV Park in Jay, Florida!

Earlier this month, we had the opportunity to spend a few days there, and it was exactly what we needed—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained the property was. The RV sites were spacious and tidy, the restrooms were absolutely pristine, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

One of our favorite features was the General Store. Whether you forgot something at home or just needed a few essentials, they seemed to have just about everything you could need in a pinch. They also offer games and activities that guests can enjoy during their stay.

We spent time exploring the beautiful mineral springs and walking down to the Escambia River, taking in the scenery and enjoying the tranquility that seems harder and harder to find these days. If you’re looking for great fishing, fresh air, and a chance to unplug and recharge, this is the place.

They also offer three adorable tiny home rentals that are available by the night and come equipped with the comforts and amenities you need for a relaxing getaway. Guests also have access to laundry facilities, fire rings, and plenty of outdoor space to enjoy.
