Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, Samad’s House joined our community in honoring the lives lost to overdose and standing with the families and loved ones impacted. 💜

We are grateful to see our leadership continue to advocate for awareness, prevention, harm reduction, and resources throughout Milwaukee. As Tahira Malik shared, “The work is not done.” Every life matters, and every life is worth fighting for.

Thank you to our community leaders and partners for recognizing the importance of this work and continuing to stand with us as we work toward a safer, healthier Milwaukee. 💜

💜 International Overdose Awareness Day — August 31st 💜

Join us at Veterans Park as Milwaukee comes together to remember those we’ve lost, support those impacted by addiction, and take action to help save lives.

The evening will include community resources, speakers, a memorial walk, candle ceremony, and the lighting of the Hoan Bridge. 🕯️💜
