945 N 12th Street Milwaukee, WI Since 1999, Progressive Community Health Centers has provided high quality, comprehensive health care and social services to patients of all ages and incomes for residents of the inner-city neighborhoods on Milwaukee’s North Side. An independent non-profit organization, Progressive CHC now operates in four locations with over 100 full time employees, saw over 25,000 health visits in 2015, and is the main source of medical care for over 19,000 patients who rely on the Medicaid program. Our comprehensive services include adult and pediatric medicine, behavioral health services, social services, women’s health, HIV and STD prevention and treatment, and an assortment of other services including radiology, mammography, nutritional counseling and specialty care for our patients.

September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know that 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime? For Black men, that risk is even higher—1 in 6.

The good news? When caught early, prostate cancer is highly treatable.

A simple routine checkup or conversation with your primary care provider could save a life.

In observance of the holiday, Progressive Community Health Centers will be adjusting our operating hours so our dedicated staff can take a well-deserved break with their families.

Please note that all 3 of our locations will be closed on Monday, September 7th, and will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th.
