It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our friend and colleague, Bridget Costigan.

Bridget dedicated herself to caring for our patients and our community with compassion, kindness, and professionalism. She touched the lives of countless individuals, and her loss is deeply felt by all of us at the Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center.

During this difficult time, our hearts are with Bridget's family, friends, coworkers, and the many patients who knew and trusted her.

We want to reassure our patients and community that GLIIHC remains committed to providing the care you need. Our healthcare team is here to support you, and we are working diligently to ensure a smooth transition for patients who were under Bridget's care. If you have questions about your care or need to schedule an appointment, please contact our clinic at (414) 383-9526.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we mourn this tremendous loss together.

We want to extend a huge thank you to Randy Cornelius and the entire Oneida Cultural Heritage Department. They joined us at the Native Wellness Garden last and shared traditional teachings about medicinal plants, offering insight into the cultural significance, uses, and teachings surrounding the plant relatives that have supported Indigenous communities for generations.

This Wednesday, July 29, join our Circles of Strength program at the upcoming Women's Gathering. The month's event will be held at MKE Urban Stables, where we will take part in equine-assisted healing. Rather than riding the horses, we'll spend time learning about them and interacting with them in a therapeutic, hands-on way. This style of healing can help us slow doesn, stay present, build confidence, and reconnect with ourselves in a fund and supportive environment. We're excited to share this unique experience together.

*Please wear close-toed shoes.

*Transportation from GLIIHC to the stables is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call Katy at (414-316-5043) to reserve your spot.
