Minco Patrons,
SB 1481 was passed and signed into law this last legislative session. This law requires that elementary students recieve 40 minutes of recess daily. In 2026-2027 the state will allow for 20 minutes to be counted towards the school day, and 20 minutes will have to be added to the instructional day. It is also intended that the other 20 minutes added to the instructional day in 2027-2028. Here are the new start and dismissal times for the 2026-2027 school year.
