Yesterday we talked about that little inner gremlin that likes to show up and tell us things like:
"I'm not good enough."
"I'm going to fail."
"Everyone else has it figured out."
Today, I want you to remember something important:
Just because a thought pops into your head doesn't mean it's true.
If a stranger walked up to you and said,
"You're a failure."
Would you automatically believe them?
Probably not.
So why do we believe it when our inner gremlin says it?
The next time that negative voice shows up, pause and ask:
"Is this a fact... or is this just my fear talking?"
Then let your Positive Pickle answer back.
🥒 "I'm learning."
🥒 "I'm growing."
🥒 "I'm doing the best I can."
🥒 "I don't have to be perfect."

Have you ever noticed how quickly your mind can turn against you?
That little voice that says:
❌ "I'm not good enough."
❌ "I'm failing."
❌ "Everyone else has it figured out."
Today, I talked about externalizing that negative self-talk and imagining it as a little gremlin instead of treating it like the truth.
Because just because you think something doesn't mean you have to believe it.
When that gremlin starts talking, challenge it.
Then ask yourself:
💚 What would a Positive Pickle say instead?
Today's Positive Pickle reminder:
✨ You are enough.
✨ You are worthy.
✨ You don't have to earn your value.
The more we practice challenging negative self-talk, the less power it has over us.

“What does parent involvement in child therapy actually look like?”

Many parents wonder about this but are not always sure how to ask. Some worry they will be left out of the process. Some worry they will be blamed for what their child is experiencing. Some worry therapy means someone else is taking over. That is not how it works. When a child comes to therapy, parents are an important part of the process. You know your child better than anyone, and your insight matters.

Parent involvement may include:
• Conversations about what you are noticing at home
• Learning tools to support emotional regulation between sessions
• Guidance on how to respond to anxiety, big emotions, or shutdown behaviors
• Regular check-ins about progress and goals Therapy is not about replacing parents.

It is about strengthening the support system around your child. In many cases, the most meaningful progress happens when parents feel more equipped and confident in supporting their child at home.
