ONE YEAR. 5/22/22-5/22/23

Happy 1 full year earth side, belly buddy. 😭 I simply cannot comprehend how 1 year is even possible, but wow how you’ve grown!
N: You’ll never understand the true magnitude of your existence in the world. 💕The light you’ve brought to your family is incredible and I am so lucky to remain a part of it. I loved your kicks in my belly and the joy you brought me, but not nearly as much as I enjoy seeing the joy you bring to others. I’ll forever be humbled and honored your parents chose me to carry you. Your moms love for you was and will forever be indescribable and you will do no wrong in your dads eyes. Treat him well, he’s amazing! What a life you’ll have with so much love around you. I love you, squish.

For me on this day: I love what this journey brought me and I cannot thank K & A enough for allowing me into their hearts and lives and entrusting me with such a important part of their story. Every thought is embedded with gratefulness and every tear is with bittersweet joy. I have endless love for this family, and the utmost respect for the entire surrogacy process.

So, a year out from delivery and 3 years out from the start - Would I do this again? 1,000,000x YES.

How completely and utterly shameful.
Money and egos above healthcare in a society with one of the biggest maternal mortality rates.

I hope this doesn’t have a trickle effect! Midwives are so valuable and I had the best team of midwives/OBs working soo closely at GFH- it was a beautiful and effective collaboration.
