A Black History Month conference this weekend is addressing dementia and Alzheimer's disease concerns in the community.

We hosted our 'Rooted in Care: Dementia, Caregiving and Culture' conference on February 21, from 9 am - 3 pm at NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center in Minneapolis. We featured several speakers; we had several organizations host tables, and we featured a caregiver panel discussion. Caregivers shared their experiences caring for someone who was living with dementia. (Debra Jones of Volunteers of American led the panel discussion).
