Happy Labor Day!
Today we celebrate the contributions and achievements of American workers. The first U.S. Labor Day was celebrated on September 5, 1882 in New York City, organized by the Central Labor Union. By 1894, it became a federal holiday honoring the labor movement’s fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and reasonable hours.
