Visit the Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder Team to learn more about spinal cord injuries today!

Every Thursday in September from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. staff will be available in the medical center flag atrium to share resources and knowledge on adaptive recreation and travel, social work and advocacy, therapy and assistive technology, and nursing cares.

Spinal Cord Injury and Disorder Team members will also be wearing green on Thursdays in September in support of Spinal Cord Injury awareness month!

Yesterday 1,436 Veterans, service members, and family members helped us learn which branch of service was most represented at the Minnesota State Fair Military Appreciation Day.

The results are in!
Army - 657
Navy - 317
Air Force - 259
Marines - 172
Coast Guard - 21
Space Force - 10

Thanks to all who stopped by Dan Patch Park and visited our Minneapolis VA Health Care System booth.

The Minnesota State Fair set a new daily attendance record for Military Appreciation Day, as 155,185 people attended the great Minnesota Get -together.

It’s Military Appreciation Day at the Minnesota State Fair!

The Minneapolis VA Outreach Team is in Dan Patch Park handing out information on how to enroll for care and finding out which branch is most represented at the fair today. Come join the fun!

Over 40 Veteran supportive organizations are on display along with us until 4 p.m.

August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day. Drug overdose remains a leading cause of death in the United States; more people are dying from opioid overdoses than car accidents. This is a day to remember those we’ve lost and renew our commitment to end overdose and related harms.

Stop by the Flag Atrium today to learn more. Pharmacists will be available to provide naloxone education and prescriptions, if requested, Naloxone kits are free to Veterans. The booth will be in place until 2:00 p.m.

Congratulation so the Twin Cities Vet Center on their dedication ceremony yesterday!

The Twin Cities Vet Center offers confidential counseling, community engagement, and referral services for eligible Veterans, service members, including members of the National Guard and reserve components, as well as their families, in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area and throughout southern Minnesota. Vet Center services are offered at no cost in a strictly confidential, non-medical setting. The Twin Cities Vet Center is at 2113 Cliff Drive, Suite 100, in Eagan.
