This National Hispanic Heritage Month, Neighborhood HealthSource clinics honors and celebrates the vibrant history, traditions, culture, and contributions of Hispanic, Latino, Latina, and Latinx communities.
Here is a special note from our Executive Director:
“It is a time to recognize and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of people whose roots come from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
For me, this month is also an opportunity to recognize the many Hispanic members of our NHS team and thank you for the knowledge, perspectives, experiences, and dedication you bring to our organization every day. Nearly one-quarter of the patients we serve are Hispanic, and I am proud that NHS has become a trusted healthcare provider for this community.
One of the things I value most about NHS is the diversity of the people we serve and the people who care for them. Our differences make us stronger and help us better understand and meet the needs of our patients. I hope we will take this month as an opportunity to learn from one another, celebrate our shared experiences, and appreciate the many cultures that make NHS such a special place.
