This holiday season, the Owatonna Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute partnered with United Way of Steele County to adopt a local family. Staff donated funds and gifts to fulfill the family’s wish list, including extra items and a grocery gift card.

The team celebrated with a potluck and gift-wrapping session—continuing a tradition of making the season brighter for those in need.

The Assistance Technology department recently showcased its work at the AT Maker Fair at the Closing The Gap conference.

During the fair, our experts presented models of various 3D-printed adaptive devices that help make everyday life more accessible for our patients.

The demand for 3D-printed assistive devices has significantly increased and we are proud of our innovative technology and the positive impact it has on those we serve.

Congratulations to Rachel Vohs Nead, PT at Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, for receiving the 2nd annual Weightman Excellence in Physical Therapy Award!

This award was created by Maggie Weightman, PT, PhD and her family to honor outstanding PTs and PTAs at CKRI on the Abbott Northwestern Campus who demonstrate clinical excellence, leadership and advocacy.

Dr. Weightman dedicated over 30 years to physical therapy and research at ANW, and this award continues her legacy by supporting professional growth and education in the field.

Susan Hodder joined our Alpine Ski program in the 1980’s and dedicated over 15,000 volunteer hours over the following 4 decades; she was a once in a lifetime volunteer whose passion has, directly or indirectly, shaped all of us at Courage Kenny to this day. It is now our honor to present this prestigious award to our outstanding volunteers who are passing on the compassion, spontaneity and friendship that Susan gave to us.
