Fall is coming, and you don’t need to overhaul your entire routine to prepare for it.
As the days get shorter and the weather starts to cool down, a few simple changes can support your energy, sleep, digestion and overall health through the transition into fall.
🍂 Add more warm, cooked foods and seasonal produce
☀️ Get outside for morning light to support your circadian rhythm
😴 Start settling back into a consistent sleep schedule
🚶♀️ Make a plan for staying active as the weather changes
🌿 Give yourself permission to slow down a little
I also love the perspective from Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that each season has its own rhythm. Fall is a time of transition, gathering inward and preparing for the quieter months ahead.
You don’t need a whole new routine. Just a few small shifts.
I wrote more about fall wellness, seasonal nutrition, sleep, morning light and preparing your body for the change in seasons over on the blog.
