Red Door Red Door provides s*xual health care for all people. We never turn away based on ability to pay. We’ve provided specialized care ever since.

Red Door opened in 1970, in response to an increasing number of emergency room visits for s*xual health care. Today Red Door is the largest HIV and STD clinic in Minnesota and a landmark for health care services in Hennepin County. We were among the first clinics in Minnesota to offer PrEP, a daily pill that helps protect against HIV infection, and we continue to offer the newest and best testing and treatments. Our HIV prevention program received a national award from the National Association of County and City Health Officials. Clinics nationwide look to Red Door for our expertise and best practices.

Las personas latinoamericanas se ven afectadas desproporcionadamente por el VIH—pero muchas personas que viven con VIH pueden acceder a tratamientos y servicios de apoyo gratuitamente.

Existen medicamentos que detienen al virus de atacar al sistema inmunológico. Y si una persona toma sus medicamentos del VIH, puede llegar a ser indetectable y no transmitir el virus. A esto le llamamos “indetectable = intransmisible” o I=I (U=U en inglés).

Latinx people are disproportionately affected by HIV – but many people living with HIV can access no-cost treatment and supportive services.

Medication stops the virus from attacking the immune system. And when a person takes their HIV medication, they may become undetectable and not pass on the virus. We call this “undetectable = untransmittable,” or U=U.

Don’t be afraid of the test result. Know your status.
