Red Door

Red Door provides sexual health care for all people. We never turn away based on ability to pay. We’ve provided specialized care ever since.

Red Door opened in 1970, in response to an increasing number of emergency room visits for sexual health care. Today Red Door is the largest HIV and STD clinic in Minnesota and a landmark for health care services in Hennepin County. We were among the first clinics in Minnesota to offer PrEP, a daily pill that helps protect against HIV infection, and we continue to offer the newest and best testing

and treatments. Our HIV prevention program received a national award from the National Association of County and City Health Officials. Clinics nationwide look to Red Door for our expertise and best practices.

It's been 45 years since the first official HIV/AIDS diagnoses in 1981. 25% of people living with HIV were diagnosed before effective treatment was available. We now have medications and support systems that can help people live well with HIV.

Part of our work is fighting the stigma that keeps so many people from the medical care and community support they need. To learn more about HIV care and prevention, call us or visit our website.
