MAND, an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, is a non-profit professional organization

Minnesota Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (MAND) is an affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics. Currently, there are approximately 1600 members throughout the state. Membership is limited to Registered Dietitians (RDs), and Diet Technicians, Registered (DTRs), those eligible for these classifications, students, and retired members.

Registered dietitians play a vital role in improving health, preventing disease, and empowering individuals to make informed nutrition choices.

Today we highlight the impactful work of Karyn Lutz, RDN, LD who recently attended local career fairs to inspire the next generation of nutrition professionals. As she reflected on her time at these events she stated, “I appreciate the career I've had as a registered dietitian and want to make high school students aware of the opportunities and flexibility available within our profession. More importantly, I want to help fill the pool of future nutrition experts. We need bright and talented students to choose dietetics to ensure science/evidenced based nutrition information is elevated and dispersed throughout our nation.”
