Meal prep Saturday!!
Hunkering down these next couple months and really focusing on eating meals that were made at home as opposed to eating out!

So picked up my groceries last night, and prepped this morning for meals until Wednesday!

Here’s the menu:

🍗 caramelized onion taco salad
🍗 chicken sausage + scrambled eggs + fruit salad
🍗 spiced apple oatmeal
🍗 pina colada protein smoothie
🍗 spinach pineapple protein smoothie

All the yums!! Keep an eye out for these recipes!

Happy Foodie Friday! My favorite kind of before and after 😍
Although the peanut butter provides ample protein, I decided to give these bites a protein punch and opted for protein oats.

This recipe is amazing for a post workout snack or an on the go snack! The protein will keep you satiated and full while the oats and honey will give you energy to move through your day.

Here’s the recipe:
1.5 cups protein oats
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup mini chocolate chips

Mix everything together in a bowl, form into 16 bite-sized balls and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before enjoying!

Hooray for productive mornings💫

Got a great workout in (Dancebody Sculpt) and already got work sent off to clients all before 9am!

I have a lot more to do today but isn’t it great when your mornings set the pace for the rest of the day?

Here’s what I’ll be resting myself to this week:
CHOCOLATE AVOCADO MOUSSE
🥑2 avocados, roughly chopped
🥑1/3 cup pure maple syrup
🥑1/2 cup raw cacao powder
🥑1/4 cup coconut cream
🥑1/8 tsp salt
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
2. Transfer chocolate mousse to a resealable container and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
3. Top with your favorite fruits and enjoy!

Don’t forget to save this recipe for later!

you are capable of doing great thing THIS WEEK.
I feel like I always tell myself “in five years I can do it” “in one year I’ll have ____ figured out” etc.

You are capable of doing great things THIS WEEK. You don’t have to wait long periods of time to contribute to this world.

I encourage you to do things this week that make you feel valuable. What makes you feel needed on this earth right now. Do it. What makes you feel like your are contributing? Do it.

You don’t have to wait years. You are great right now.

Happy National Milk Day!!

These days, there are so many different options on the market, I wanted to share a breakdown of each, the pros and cons, and when I would recommend the milk!

Almond milk: it’s low in calories, contains lots of Vitamin E, and is great for those who have a lactose intolerance and a great substitute to regular milk if you are looking to cut back on calories and lose weight. The downfalls are, it’s low in protein (so I like to have these in protein shakes where you are adding protein) and harvesting almonds in large amounts may be detrimental to the environment

Cashew milk: good source of iron, low in calories, good source of fiber, and is a great for those who have a lactose intolerance and a great substitute to regular milk if you are looking to cut back on calories and lose weight. This is also low in protein so would pair nice with a protein shake where you are adding that in.

Coconut milk: my favorite milk to substitute in my drinks. Low in calories, good source of potassium, great substitute for people who are lactose intolerant, but again a low source of protein.

Dairy milk: high in protein and an excellent source of calcium. So if you are substituting something else for dairy milk, try and make sure it’s fortified with calcium so you are still getting those nutrients. But dairy milk is high in sugar and is not for people with a lactose intolerance.

Soy milk: high in protein, vitamin D & B12, and is lactose free. Those who have a soy allergy, who have too much estrogen in their bodies, and males and females who are trying to become pregnant should use an alternative source of milk

Oat milk: has been all the rage recently and is nut/soy/lactose free, but considerably higher in carbs and calories. If you are looking to cut down on calories and lose weight, I would recommend a different source.

What milks do you like best?!
