What a blessing to be in this season. It was never my thought to leave medicine BUT when the decision came it was the right choice for me in this season. I grew two babies under strenuous work conditions (80+hr work weeks, 24hr call, 14+ hour surgeries) and now I’m in a season to god growing a baby in complete peace. NOWWW I will be returning to medicine (in fact I already have)! I really love medicine but knew in the season I was in I needed to step away

To be at peace and growing a baby has been the greatest gift of this year/season of my life! I went from 80+ hr work weeks, performing surgeries that could take 14hrs, taking 24hr primary call ALl while pregnant to resting and moving at my own pace while growing a baby. Thank God for this

Melanated skin does NOT prevent severe sunburn. Sunburn and sun poisoning can still happen with sunscreen. A lesson that I learned is that it is very important to give kids breaks in high temperatures days or when they are first introduced to heat for the season #̭parentingtips

Someone asked me how did I have a successful with my second pregnancy and I truly believe becoming a girlie helped me develop a mind/body connection that I did not have before. The intentional movements, isolating muscles, breathing techniques, core strength, flexibility etc prepared my body and mind.
