What are your superpowers? Which superhero are you? Are you maximizing your superpowers to get you through?
Find out more in these three new virtual support groups starting in June! For socially conscious and progressive humans.
#1) Le***an Q***r Sapphic Healing Trauma Support Group -- Our superpowers get us through.
#2) Color Your Resistance: A Political Resilience Creative Support Group for Progressive and Radical Activists, Rapid Responders, Mutual Aid Comrades -- Self-expression as a superpower.
#3) Coming Out Support Group -- It takes bravery and strength to be our true selves.
I am starting three 90-minute skills, goals, and support groups. Each group meets for 12 consecutive weeks.
The groups will include a weekly theme with prompts, resources, and optional worksheets and templates, and time for discussion.
Group #1/
A Le***an Q***r Sapphic Superheroes Healing Support and Skills Abuse Group:

For le***an, q***r, and sapphic adults who have endured sexual, psychological, or physical abuse, emotional neglect, and/or oppression trauma at any time in their life, ARE currently or recently in regular individual therapy, coaching, or a related healing modality, AND hold a socially conscious and progressive framework.
Topics: Trauma healing goals, assessing your resilience and strengths, identifying and managing triggers, emotional regulation skills, self-care, self-soothing strategies, identifying your healthy and unhealthy coping strategies, and building empowerment and assertiveness skills.
The group also discusses, through a q***r lens, the current social-political increase of oppression and fascism and its similarities to each person’s abuse experiences and triggers.
Group #2/ SSFI.
Color Your Resistance: A Political Resilience Creative Support Group for Progressive and Radical Activists, Rapid Responders, Mutual Aid Comrades: [https://www.irenegreene.com/color-your-resistance.../]
A creativity support group for progressive and radical Activists, rapid responders, mutual aid comrades, and kindreds to slow down, share your experiences during the occupation and the ongoing Resistance, assess your burnout and resilience, and fortify for what's next.
You will have the opportunity to use any form of creative expression to convey the impacts of the Political Trauma Stress (PTS) on yourself, your loved ones, and community.
No prior artistic or creative experience is needed. Options: doodling, finger painting, collage, writing, music, oil painting, scribbling, etc.
Whimsy, heartbreak, humor, tears, rage, and hopefulness are all welcome here.
Group #3/

The topics include exploring and adjusting to the "new" identities that accompany the personal and public shift toward being more "out" to oneself and others; getting support; self-care when facing unacceptance or rejection; divorce and children; conflict management and communication; and problem-solving and decision-making strategies.
