Many of you know this, but the first time I did my intention setting exercise, it literally changed my life.
A few new year’s ago, I wrote myself an email for my intentions for the upcoming year. I told myself I could read it at the end of that year to see what had happened, and how my year had progressed. I created a new folder in my inbox to save it in and would then see that unread message every time I opened my email. I knew that my loving intentions were inside, encouraging me to keep at it.
One year later, when I read the email, my jaw was on the floor re-reading what I had wrote. Literally I had manifested almost everything for myself that I had intended to do. And it was all because I planted the seed in my head by setting intentions for what I wanted for myself.
And it’s time to plant the seed for yourself not only for the year ahead, but dream big and go for the next decade too!
I have 5 Simple Steps To Write Amazing New Year’s Intentions ready for you in the link. In the post I breakdown the difference between a goal and a resolution or goal, the simple 5 step process to writing your amazing intentions, and 2 fun ways to hold yourself accountable using my intention setting guide.
Because I will lay it out for you plain and simple, you have the choice to how you want to live your life.
Everything might not happen overnight, but taking litle action steps will get you closer to living the best version of you.
And also remember, taking no action is also a choice...meditate on that one.
So what will it be for you in 2020?
What will be the feeling that you feel when you reflect back one year from now?
Set your intentions, sweet friend.

YOGA TIP: Tent your fingers! In half moon, a simple twist or anytime one hand is down, try lifting up rather than collapsing down. You’ll feel a lift out of your supporting shoulder and overall strength enter your body. There is still a sense of grounding it in but find balance by allowing yourself to feel light.
This little action always serves as a cue to me to not feel bogged down and to give the extra effort to find strength in the little things. And I mean not just my fingers, but everything. My thoughts, words, and actions. The little touches can make all the difference.
What little touch of lightness can you sprinkle into your day today? Give yourself a complement, eat clean or maybe walk a bit taller rather than slumping.
See the difference? Now feel the difference!

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned from yoga is Santosha, or complete contentment with what is. We don’t need more, we don’t need less. We are enough just as we are. And sometimes we just need to tap into our own strength that we already have to grow and BE HAPPY.
What do you already have that you can nurture to make yourself stronger?

Just taught my first class since the holiday and holy smokes did it feel good to move a bit. Especially core strengthening.
If you felt like maybe you had too much fun this weekend (🙋‍♀️), get on your mat and move. Do some knee to nose and knee to tricep from down dog to get your core going. Hold high plank for 10 breaths. Do some below up core work and then stretch.
One of the beautiful things about indulging in food or drink and then getting back into your body is you get a reminder of how good yoga is for your body.
Take 10 min today to feel good. Double tap if you can commit to this for me. 🥰

What the what it’s December 1st?!? This time of year starts to have me reflect on what has happened and what hasn’t happened during the last 11 months. How about you?
A lot has happened, but not everything that I had hoped for if I’m being honest with myself. However, I’ve learned a lot and accomplished so many of my goals. So I’ll say “cheers” to that any day. But I’m not about to settle.
Let’s get planning for what’s next.
First, Be honest about where you are today. This is how we know where to go next. It’s kind of obvious, but it’s important to note. Start from what you have done and build on that. Build on the own abundance you’ve set for yourself. No need to compare yourself to others, that only comes from a place of lacking. It’s also not your path, it’s someone else’s.
Next, trust your breath. What does it tell you on your mat, when you journal, even when you think about what to tackle next. That internal instinct (aka your gut) is a great guide when you start to map out what the next few months will hold.
Finally, come back to the place of abundance. Trust that you are enough today. So whatever calls to you next is your goal, but it doesn’t define your success. Because where you are today is now where you were a year ago. And where you are today is not where you’ll be next year. You got where you are today because of what you are capable of doing. Give yourself credit for the small and big accomplishments and let that serve as proof that you are enough today.
Now get writing, breathing, flowing to see what bubbles up for you next. And remember:
1) Be honest with where you are today
2) Trust your breath/gut
3) Give gratitude that you are enough
Enjoy the last month of the decade. Make it count!

Lean into what is good. It’s time to appreciate and show gratitude for all that we can and will do. Because there are lessons in our challenges. Those moments even deserve your appreciation. Was your yoga practice always easy? Nope. Will be in the future? Not always. Same with life. Lean in to growth and love for yourself.

I am gearing up for some major holiday prep. First up, Thanksgiving. I’m teaching the morning of! Send me a note on what you’re grateful for this year. I’d love to give examples from others in class!
And then...I’m making a list and checking it twice...and all I want to give to others is the yoga love. Get excited for a yogi gift giving guide dropping tomorrow!

Yoga can do many things for us, but one of my greatest gifts I’ve received is how to love myself and to listen to what I need. As my kiddos turn five today, I strive everyday to teach them the same lessons. Stand strong and proud my littles!
