Being a light in this world isn’t an easy task but it is fun 🤩

At times it may seem there’s a weight and pressure to “Do more” & “Be more”, but as the old saying goes..

“Less is more”

In other words…
. you’ve already acquired the tools needed to unlock your highest self

However your perspective 👀 is the difference between gaining new opportunities, reaching new heights
.Or

cycling in what appears to be the same hamster wheel

So here is your reminder to simply have fun in 2022

Sending Love & Light

Being specific about what you want is a practice 🧘🏾 similar to meditation or yoga

Based on 2021’s reflection there should be more clarity around what genuinely excites you, unlocking the highest version of self..
.as well as what drains you, resulting in frustration and burnout 😭

All fairytales aside, what is the clearcut vision of what you want for yourself this year? 🔍

Better question, what is it that you require in order to grow & expand?

Answering the question above will permit you to build non-negotiable boundaries, presenting a clear route to achieving your macro vision, and accomplishing the micro goals inside your vision

To the highest version of you

Since 2007, the SIY program has been empowering participants with their secret weapon - mindfulness. 🧘‍♀️

And the results from one of the most disorienting years from a work paradigm shift standpoint - year 2020 for Google has proven that Mindfulness is an undeniable edge at the workplace. 😎

Here are a few key areas measured and improved by Mindfulness according to the SIY program:

1. Attention reclaim: 51->72%
2. Stress Management: 46->71%
3. Empathy & Compassion: 60->73%
4. Complex problem solving: 58->71%

Google: “Search Inside Yourself Impact Report 2020” for the report. And don’t forget to save this post! 👊

This is a fun thought exercise to drill home the point that it is the rapid task & context switching that causes most of the productivity leakage when we multitask 😅. As we reduce the frequency of the task & context switching, our productivity invariably improves. Go ahead and try it out for yourself. 😎

Psychologists and experts through studies have made a strong case against multitasking, but that is not stopping a lot of us from getting overwhelmed and burnt out by trying to do more than one complex task at once. 🤨

And one more thing - the popular belief that women are better at multitasking is also getting busted thanks to a recent study. The study figured that women just do more work, hence giving the illusion that they are better multitaskers. Unfortunately this means that women are even more prone to burn out trying to uphold this unnecessary societal belief system. 😏

Multi-tasking as a paradigm is slowly dying IMHO. Lets take pride in the fact that we are able to mono-task with complete attention and focus towards higher states of productivity & deep work. 😎

What are your views on multi-tasking or mono-tasking? Do share in the comments 👊

Those of us who have a regular mindfulness practice understand how non-negotiable this activity is in our daily lives. 🤓

As I re-affirm this I am firm on my resolve to practice my mindfulness regularly to mould my brain towards higher states of calm, focus and productivity. 😌🤓😎

When in flow, we are detached from the fruits or goals of the activity, but are just indulging in the activity / work for its own sake. 😌

Lets not mortgage our present commitment in the current moment to an uncertain future, no point obsessing about the future, while one can be focused, present & truly manifesting in the present moment. 😀
