Ed Charbonneau is a painter and adjunct instructor in the Fine Arts and Foundation Departments of the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and a Contracted Faculty of Practice in the Department of Art and Design at Concordia University in St. Paul.

He visited our residents and gave a presentation on color theory. If you have ever visited Abiitan, you will see four of his pieces throughout our community!

The state of Minnesota has wrapped up its 2023 Legislative Session and nearly $1 billion will be invested in older adults and their caregivers!

Meet one of our amazing Resident Assistants and Ecumen Hospice volunteers, Kenzie. We love that she has chosen to work at Abiitan, and volunteer with our hospice team. She has a lot to say about Ecumen, but it is definitely worth the read!

"I take pleasure in working with Ecumen at Abiitan as it is a nonprofit organization that prioritizes team member well-being and fosters a positive work environment that I look forward to being part of each shift. Being a Pre-PA university student, I am thrilled to have a variety of opportunities to gain valuable experience and grow my career at Ecumen. In addition to my role as a Resident Assistant Coach, I am a dedicated volunteer with Ecumen Hospice, which offers me various chances to broaden my skill sets in healthcare and make a difference in people's lives.
