Dr. Anne‑Marie Malfait is a globally recognized leader in osteoarthritis research and pain mechanisms. As Professor of Medicine and the George W. Stuppy Chair of Arthritis at Rush University Medical College, she directs the Chicago Center for Musculoskeletal Pain and leads the NIH‑funded RE‑JOIN consortium focused on the joint‑nerve interactome of the knee. Her research spans from cartilage biology to the neurobiology of joint pain, with key roles in developing disease‑modifying treatments for OA and serving as Editor‑in‑Chief of Osteoarthritis and Cartilage.
