Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi recently opened up about her experience with cervical cancer and a hysterectomy, sharing an honest look at a difficult and emotional time.

Her story is also an important reminder: don’t put off your cervical cancer screening.

Cervical cancer is often preventable, and regular screening can help detect abnormal changes before they become cancer. HPV vaccination also plays an important role in preventing HPV-related cancers.

An abnormal Pap does NOT automatically mean cancer, but it does mean you should follow up with your healthcare provider and complete any recommended testing.

Whether you’re due for a Pap, have received an abnormal result, or simply aren’t sure when your next screening is due, make your health a priority.

Your future self will thank you. 💜

As Fibroid Awareness Month comes to an end, we’re continuing the conversation 💜

Fibroids are one of the most common conditions affecting women, yet many women don’t realize their symptoms may be connected to fibroids.

Heavy or prolonged periods, pelvic pressure or pain, bloating, frequent urination, and changes in fertility can all be signs that something needs attention.

The good news? You don’t have to simply live with these symptoms. Understanding your body and having an open conversation with your healthcare provider is the first step toward finding answers and exploring treatment options.

This month may be ending, but awareness and education matter all year long. 💜

If you have concerns about fibroids or symptoms that are affecting your daily life, we’re here to help.

Some changes in your body are easy to notice. Others can be subtle and easy to dismiss.

Ovarian cancer symptoms can sometimes look like everyday concerns, such as persistent bloating, feeling full quickly, pelvic or abdominal discomfort, changes in bowel or bladder habits, or ongoing fatigue.

Because these symptoms can be mistaken for stress, hormones, or other common conditions, it’s important to pay attention when something feels different or doesn’t go away.

There is no routine screening test for ovarian cancer in women at average risk, which is why knowing your body and speaking up about changes is so important.

Not every symptom means cancer. But persistent symptoms deserve attention.

If you have concerns about your health, don’t wait to seek answers. Early evaluation and the right care team can make a difference. 💙

Hi, this is Trini 💙 your chemo nurse at The Center for Gynecologic Oncology.

When people think about chemotherapy, nausea is often the first concern. While that can happen, the most common side effect we see is actually fatigue.

Not the kind where you fall asleep standing up, but a deep level of tiredness that your body needs you to respect.

You may still be able to go about your day, but it is okay to accept help. If someone offers to grab you a glass of water, let them.

✨ Rest when your body asks for rest
✨ Be active when you feel up to it

There is no “right” way to feel during treatment. Listening to your body is part of the process.

The good news is you are not going through this alone. We offer in-house chemotherapy so you can receive expert, compassionate care in a comfortable and familiar setting.

Know Your Fibroid Facts 💜

July is Fibroid Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of a condition that affects so many women.

Fibroids are noncancerous growths of the uterus, but that doesn’t mean they’re harmless. They can cause symptoms like heavy periods, pelvic pain, bloating, and even impact fertility.

The truth is, many women live with fibroids without realizing what’s causing their symptoms.

You don’t have to just “deal with it.” There are options, and help is available.

If something feels off, trust your instincts and get it checked.
