It's Myth Monday!
Myth: I can only be on hospice for six months so I should wait to sign up.
Reality: It is best to sign up as soon as possible as hospice care improves your quality of life. In fact, people on hospice lived an average of one month longer than those not on hospice, according to a study that was sponsored by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in 2007. As part of the Caring Cove Hospice family, you will receive care from many different disciplines including physician and nursing services, home health aides, bereavement support, social worker support, spiritual support, pain management and other therapies as needed. Our care team looks to support the whole patient - mind, body and spirit.

It's Myth Monday!
Myth: Hospice care is only available if a medical professional refers the patient.
Reality: A referral from a medical professional is not needed to receive hospice care. Hospice care can be requested by the patient or patient’s family member. If you or your loved one are interested in hospice services from Caring Cove Hospice, please reach out. We will contact your physician to obtain records and then review those to determine eligibility.
