Today we honor Juneteenth.

On June 19, 1865, news of freedom finally reached the last enslaved Americans in Galveston, Texas. More than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

It's a day that holds both grief and joy. A reminder of how long freedom can take to arrive, and how deeply it is valued.

Patients often come to us after being told they don't have enough bone for an implant. The good news is that "not enough bone" rarely means "not possible." It just means there's an extra step.

Bone grafting is that step. We add new bone material to the area, and over the next few months your body builds healthy new bone around it. Once healed, you have the foundation you need for a successful implant.
