7 years of Project Eyecare. 🤍

On September 23, 2019, we opened our doors for the very first time. Seven years later, we’re incredibly grateful for every patient and family who has trusted us with their vision and eye care.

We’ve had the privilege of watching kids grow up, helping patients see and feel better, and building relationships with so many wonderful families along the way.

Thank you to our amazing team and to everyone who has supported Project Eyecare over these past 7 years. We’re so thankful to be here doing what we love.

👓 MYOPIA MYTHS: Let’s bust a few!

When it comes to kids and nearsightedness, there’s a LOT of outdated information out there.

❌ “Wearing glasses will make their eyes worse.” ❌ “Maybe we should under-correct their prescription.” ❌ “They’re just nearsighted—there’s nothing we can do about it.”

The truth? Myopia is more than just blurry distance vision. As a child grows, their eyes can continue to grow too—and increasing myopia is associated with greater risks to their eye health later in life.

The good news is that today we have options designed to slow the progression of myopia, including specialized contact lenses and other myopia-management treatments. 👁️✨

👁️ Did you know your child's risk of becoming nearsighted can be influenced by family history?

If one parent is myopic, a child's risk is about 33%.

If both parents are myopic, that risk increases to around 50%.

The good news? Genetics are only part of the story. While we can't change our genes, we can take steps to help slow myopia progression through evidence-based treatments like:
