My last day at "work" was yesterday.
It all started 40 years ago. Many of you remember the original location next to the fine arts theatre down the street. That was just the beginning!
Next, I moved the practice to the Brill Professional Building in 2003 that I built ground up.
I've had the pleasure of providing world class eyecare to 100s of 1000s of patients around the globe.
From right here in Mission, KS to people that traveled afar from Panama, Wales, and many more places, I provided life changing advanced dry eye treatments and specialty contact lenses.
Brill Eye Center succeeded in putting the "I care" back in eye care in a warm, professional, friendly environment.
Most of your probably remember me for my custom suits, crisp shirts, and great tie selection. I promise, I am not hanging up my hat yet as I still have other professional endeavors to fulfill.
While my kids didn't take over the business, both Stuart and Perry worked in the practice at one point sharing in the joy of a family business. They are both onto bigger things with Stuart doing a fellowship in critical care Neurology in Westchester, NY and Perry following the Brill entrepreneurial genes building software applications to allow private practices to stay efficient.
My wife Debbie has worked with me for many years steering the ship at the front desk and behind the scenes making sure things run smoothly. She's the one staying late so you can pickup your contact lenses afterhours.
