Zaazhfam : Birth & Human Services stands in solidarity with declaring June

Ashley Albert, founder of , said it plainly at the fifth annual

From slavery to 2026, from the womb to the tomb, Black children are being stolen. And the government has spent generations building a narrative to justify it.

Stolen Children's Month exists to dismantle that narrative. We are calling out every system that steals children: family policing, ICE, deportation, youth incarceration, foster “care,” private adoption, and all other systems of family separation.

We march. We organize. We fight for Black moms to be with their kids.

🖤 Learn More: StolenChildrensMonth.com

Stay tuned for more information on the Stolen Childrens Month Vigil we will be hosting the 25th of June.

Stolen Children’s Month calls for the abolition of all systems that steal children and separate families, including the family policing, adoption, and foster industries; the ICE detention and deportation machine; and the prison-industrial complex.

My poor Nala girl. To think she was in even worse condition when found would be unfathomable, had I not saw the photos taken when she was discovered.

Creator knew she had a purpose. She provides us so much unconditional love and healing. I am so glad she pulled her handler and jumped into my open van that day. She chose us, for sure.

In Helena the last two days for trainings.

Chii miigwech. Muchisimas gracias to Helena Indian Alliance and Rocky Mountain Tribal Leaders Council for hosting Native Center for Behavioral Health and their Mental Health First Aid USA Youth Mental Health First Aid class, along with the QPR Su***de Prevention.

I was able to meet some pretty rad people doing great things in Helena, on top of being warmly welcomed by everyone there. Even met a fellow Little Shell woman and another from Rocky Boy that knows my distant family out that way. Felt so good to be among kin and culture.

I was also gifted 10 boxes of Narcan to use or distribute to community members in Missoula.

If you or someone you know is in need of crisis support or other peer supports when police or 988 aren't an option, don't hesitate to reach out.

As a person and mother with lived experiences around su***de and mental health crisis, I aim to be part of a network of mental health first aid organizers that community members can reach out to when western or mainstream avenues aren't an option.

Spicy broth ready to go in their jars. I will have another batch without spiciness, ready tomorrow.

This broth is highly medicinal in the traditional sense of food being medicine. It simmered for over 72hrs.

Packed with nutrient dense ingredients, collagen galore. This broth can be drank as-is (warm of course), or used as a base to things like soup or sauces; adding some extra kick while boosting the body's ability to heal and be nourished.

Highly recommend for that family member who may be under the weather, or just for prevention before illness hits.

Make this a staple in your fridge to enjoy the benefits and value of being tended to with time and love.

Sliding scale and barter always welcome.

I also ask if you can, to please bring a replacement jar (or more of you'd like to donate) this will help keeps costs down as even second hand jars are expensive.

Thank you. Miigwech. Gracias.

Domestic violence, substance use, sexual assault and human trafficking numbers would be near none existent, if this kkkountry actually was "prolife". Housing first and for all, is prevention on steroids.

I have been the victim of all the above.

Housing and adequate community supports when I was removed from my parent's care and told to couch surf by police at 17 instead of helping me, would have saved me an entire adulthood of trauma and instability. It would have saved 6 children from being brought into this cruel world to experience instability and systemic failures, after failure. How?

Well, to start, I should have NEVER been told to couch surf at 17 by supposed "professionals" like the police did to me. My school should have reached out to social services of some sort to ensure my safety and housing.

After being traffciked starting at age 17, for two years, and becoming pregnant by my abuser, I landed in another situation out of desperation for housing. I ended up 20 miles from the nearest city. 7 miles to the nearest rinkadink town. At times I was without transportation while caring for several small children in absolute poverty.

I used prevention. I even had scheduled abortions and I had also scheduled tying my tubes after baby #3. I voiced "no" without having my autonomy respected.

Yes, each pregnancy was a result of abuse, coercion, lack of transportation to needed and wanted appointments, no access to childcare to attend appointments, being denied dv shelters due to lack of police reports for physical abuse, even when every other kind of abuse was present etc etc etc. Systemic failures after failure, even though I actively tried to help myself and then ultimately my kids.

The stigma and discrimination I've endured for 16 years as I have attempted to navigate a system not intent on lifting people up but only further oppressing them, has had grave tolls on my mental and physical health. All the while I am expected to keep it together for my children, work and all the things, when I have never even been able to just breathe or process my traumas to any degree.

People just don't get how deep this s**t goes. How complicated and complex it is to escape with housing instability, especially, ESPECIALLY, as a victim/survivor.

I hate this kkkountry and always have. I've had full body rejection of Amerikkka since at least the 3rd grade. I stopped standing for the pledge that year because it was clear how it didn't represent my people, my lived and witnessed realty. Land of the free, my ass. Land of the brave, is an insult; knowing that these lands were violently colonized by cowards and rapists, not bravery.

Today people are being criminalized for reacting to and surviving extreme systemic abuses and oppression. Enough is enough. We outnumber those in power. We need to band together to fight for basic human dignity, for all people.

I am trying to find the resolve to not just help myself and my own family, but the countless families caught in the web of oppression that was systematically designed against the wellbeing of all, to benefit only the few families at the top of this gross hierarchy.

If you want to be part of ACTUAL solutions, not just buzz words and lip service for grant funding (ahem YWCA Missoula), hit me up! I and mi hermana Elena and I can't do it all alone.
