August scheduling is now open ✨
A lot of people reached out after July had already filled up, so I wanted to open things early. If appointments fill quickly again, I’ll add a second Saturday to the schedule. Let’s get you feeling better, you deserve this 🤍 Dr. Dettmann

Who knows this missoula trail? It’s one of my favorites because it’s shaded for these hot days we’ve been having!

Chiropractic care for littles 🤍

I get asked all the time what pediatric chiropractic can help with. Some of the most common things I see in office are feeding issues, colic, sleep struggles, postural concerns, and growing pains.

I’ve done additional training and obtained certifications through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association focused specifically on caring for infants and children. I love getting to support families in any stage of life.

Let’s grow together 💓 (P.S. isn’t this the cutest shirt EVER?!)

Going to a chiropractor or craniosacral therapist for the first time can be intimidating: techniques vary, experiences vary, results vary.

Here’s a few things I wish my patients knew prior to booking, and a few things I emphasize in my practice. You deserve a pain free (and happy) life. I’m here to help.

I’ve spent months training for my first marathon and race day is almost here! (Missoula Marathon) 🏃‍♀️💨

I’ve learned so much along the way, but here are a few standout lessons so far.

• Consistency beats perfection every time
I don’t need perfect runs, perfect pacing, or perfect weeks. (Spoiler alert: perfection doesn’t exist) The “good enough” days is what built my endurance.

• Rest days make hard days possible
Recovery isn’t a break from progress, it’s part of it. The days off are what allowed my body to adapt, rebuild, and actually get stronger. (I’ve used my Hume Health scale to track my body composition throughout this long training block)

• Fatigue is not the same as weakness
Heavy legs, mental stress and slow paces some days didn’t mean I was weak. I work full-time and sometimes, I’m just tired and that’s okay.

• The first mile always lies
It almost never reflects how the rest of the run will feel. That first mile always feels horrible to me but what matters is that I kept going anyways.

• Strength training is non-negotiable
Running alone isn’t enough. Strength work (especially single leg exercises) is what helped build my mileage up safely and improve my cadence and form.

Whether you’re someone who has a race coming up, or are a beginner wanting to start training for your first 5k… I’m here for you.
Bodies are made to move.

Reviews (with a view) 🌟

Each week I’ll be sharing a new view outside my office along with a review of how things are going inside my office.

Finding balance between my work life and my personal life is not easy, honestly it’s not easy for anyone. I have a fulfilling career that I love, but this is my reminder (…and yours) to step outside, breathe in some fresh air, and find a view worth taking in. Self-care allows me to show up best for my patients, and getting outside is my way of doing that.

Can you guess where I am in this photo? 💛 Dr.D
