Yesterday we started our morning learning the journey of tea time while we enjoyed some hot tea and cinnamon rolls. Afterwards we learned a few ways to fold our napkins. The summer corn folding was a big hit. I want to thank Mary Lou for helping us through the napkin folding. We also watched a short documentary of the history of tea and then enjoyed some tea trivia. This was how we celebrated national tea day yesterday. Fun times!

Yesterday was national chocolate chip cookie day. What is the best way to celebrate? By making homemade chocolate chip cookies. We ended up making 62 cookies so everyone can enjoy them. We had a fun time making them and tasting them. Two thumbs up 👍👍

No one plans for the day that changes everything. For Colleen, one ordinary morning turned into a life-changing accident. She thought the next chapter meant giving up her independence. Yesterday was National Watermelon Day. So we made sure we had a big bowl to enjoy. The resident said it was juicy, crispy and refreshing. Here are some fun pictures of our residents July Hawaiian Birthday Party. Thank you to everyone for helping with the set up and take down. Thank you to Dave, Phil, and Connie for the wonderful music entertainment. Everyone loved it and had a fun time singing along. Thank you Jeff for the delicious lunch you made for everyone to enjoy. Brii the Hawaiian rolls you made were delicious. Thank you for making them! Thank you to our residents for helping me make the cake and I sure had fun decorating their cake. Thank you Stefan and Cindy for the Hawaiian shirts you both brought in for our residents to wear for the party. Thank you to all the residents families and friends for joining us and celebrating with us all.

Good evening everyone! We started our morning with a spa day for the fellows. Then, we had our exercise class. Followed by wonderful music entertainment by Bill. Thank you Bill, everyone loved it. Afterwards, we played Co****le and knocked the balloon with the cup game. Our residents did a great job. To end our evening we had delicious strawberry short cakes and played Bingo. To end our evening we watched two short documentaries on how to make cheese and how to make chocolate. It was a great day.
