Hospice isn’t always a silent room.

Sometimes it sounds like:

✅ A favorite song playing too loudly

✅ Family members retelling the same funny story

✅ Grandchildren running through the house

✅ A patient laughing with their nurse

✅ One more “I love you” spoken out loud

Comfort and joy can exist alongside serious illness. There is still room for laughter, music and living.

Ask the question; your hospice team has probably heard the question you’re afraid to ask.

💠 Is this change normal?

💠 What should we expect next?

💠 Am I doing this correctly?

💠 Should I call someone?

💠 What if I feel overwhelmed?

You are not expected to know how to navigate end-of-life care alone. Ask the question—even if it feels uncomfortable, small or difficult to say out loud. We’re here to help.

DID YOU KNOW?

Hospice care is built around communication.

Patients and families help guide the plan of care by sharing their:

➡️ Needs and concerns

➡️ Personal goals

➡️ Care preferences

➡️ Values and beliefs

➡️ Priorities for comfort and quality of life

The hospice team listens, collaborates and develops a plan centered on what matters most. Hospice cares for the whole person—not only the diagnosis.

➡️ Questions about hospice and palliative care shouldn’t have to wait until a crisis.

Stillwater Hospice’s Community Relations Representatives do a whole lot more than talk about hospice and palliative care. They’re out in the communities we serve—connecting with healthcare professionals, answering questions for patients and families, sharing information and resources about both types of care, participating in local events, supporting community organizations and building relationships with the people and partners who make our communities stronger.

Want to know who’s representing Stillwater Hospice in your community—or where you might see us next?
