Wanna know something INCREDIBLE about our bodies?

As a woman enters perimenopause, her adrenal glands start to shift to become the primary creator of her hormones (as the ovaries start to decline).

The adrenal glands sit on top of the kidneys and make a few hormones: Cortisol being a major one.

If she enters this phase of her physiology change with uncontrolled stress or a chronic "fight or flight" nervous system state.....

💥 Perimenopause and Menopause will feel worse. 💥

She will notice worse:
💥Mood swings
💥 Irritability
💥 Sleep issues
💥 Hot flashes
💥 Emotions that roller coaster

Because the brain and the adrenals are DEEPLY connected via the HPA axis. So her brain will take the first hit before the weight gain and puffiness kicks in.

Of all of the supplements on the market for perimenopause and menopause, I have found that none of them Target the support for the adrenal system the way it needs to.

Well, I've been trying one for a few months and I want to share it with you.

It's a Young Living product called Daily Hormone Essentials.
🌟 It's a liquid packet that you can drink straight out of the packet or add it into your water or smoothie.
The ingredients in this product are all supporting the adrenal glands and the clinical trials they did on it was very impressive!
➡️ There was a 62% improvement in the symptoms compared to a placebo
➡️ Zero side effects
➡️ 12 symptoms improved including some of the ones I listed above

I ordered a few of these boxes (there are 30 packets in a box), but if you are already a young living member, you can order these!

You will save more money by signing up for a Young Living membership compared to the purchase price in the clinic, but if you want to trial it for a few months first, we will have these!
➡️ If you've never ordered from YL, use the code SHAREYL on the link provided to earn 10% off on your first order!

Your body isn't working against you—it's communicating with you.

Instead of asking, "Why is this happening to my body?" reframe your question:

✨ "What is my body trying to tell me?"
✨ "What does my body need right now?"
✨ "How can I better support my body's ability to heal?"

Pain, stiffness, headaches, and fatigue aren't always the problem—they're often signals that something needs attention. When we stop fighting our bodies and start listening to them, we can make choices that support healing rather than just masking symptoms.

At Dobesh Chiropractic, our goal is to help you understand what your body is telling you and create a plan that helps it function at its best.

💙 Listen to your body. Support it. Help it thrive.

Education is empowering and the more you know, the better equipped you are to make informed decisions about your health.

The "chiropractic stroke" conversation still floats around and it will until the end of time, but I want to specify 🌟4 risks🌟 that should be part of a much larger conversation in medicine.

The combination of these four risk factors can do much more damage, and many humans don't even know it's happening!

1. Hypermobility
2. Ni****ne use
3. Birth Control
4. Migraines with auras, specifically

This group together is dangerous. I'm sure you've heard about smoking/ni****ne use and birth control and the risk of blood clots, but migraines with an aura, specifically, are an independent risk of stroke too.

Combine it? Woofta.

Hypermobility is rated on a scale of 0-9. Greater than 3 is indicative that excessive motion is happening in joints, but this is also linked to blood vessels and the lining inside the blood vessels.

You cannot change hypermobility.
You can support and treat migraines with auras.
You can make better choices (with your doctor on birth control).
You can stop smoking and using ni****ne.

🌟That limits a risk of 4 to 2.🌟

Choices. Actions.

Notice what's not in this conversation or studies listed?
Seeing a chiropractor.

One thing we do differently is identifying hypermobility on the first visit with a patient. If the patient is hypermobile (greater than 3), smokes or vapes, and is on birth control....guess what?

A conversation is happening.

It will change the technique we use too.
Individualized care > cookie cutter care.

🌟Attention: if you're planning on living to age of 65 or have a family member on Medicare now, please read through the following posts! 🌟

There is a current bill in the House of Representatives now to modernize Chiropractic care in the Medicare health plan.

If you're in South Dakota, Dusty Johnson has already supported the bill! ❤️

Please look on the link to see if you of any other House of Representatives members (from other states) are on this!

Please share so your friends/family in other states can send a message to urgent support for the bill! ❤️

➡️The data has spoken.
➡️Patients experience's have spoken.
➡️Doctors experience's have spoken.

And yet, we still have naysayers.

Maintenance care is defined as care that has completed a care plan, functional goals have been reached, functional limitations have been reversed or improved.

So, why do so many patients stop care after they feel great?
Why do they stop when life is easier when they MOVE better?
Why do they stop when they have experienced more mind-body connection and fear of pain or reinjury is gone?

Most of the time, it's because "their insurance stopped paying."
"They are back to normal now, so they don't need the expense."
"They will come back when they hurt again."

Let's break this down to reality:
1. Does anyone's insurance rock and pay 100% all of the time? Nope.
2. Their care plan due to injury and time out of work, PTO wasted, vacations altered costs them more to get back to life than regularly scheduled care!
3. Continuously staying on the mindset cycle of "when I'm injured again," is a 🌟NEUROPLASTIC🌟 way of ensuring you'll be injured again. Now, that's expensive.

In 2018, a RCT (random controlled trial) measured 328 humans and categorized them into symptom based care and maintenance care (regularly scheduled visits).

Wanna know what they found?
➡️ The maintenance care group had 🔥30 days LESS OF LOW BACK PAIN🔥!!!

What would you do with one month less of low back pain in a year?!

➡️ The maintenance group had 1.7 more visits than the symptom based group.
Approximately 2 visits more!!

When we think we are saving money by cutting costs on our health, we aren't! w
We are cutting time out of our lives by decreasing productivity, joy, and presence with our loved ones.

You're worth it. ❤️ Take care of you. ❤️

Femur lengths. Note the difference between these two girls.

A longer femur will result in less depth in a squat. And that’s ok! It will be harder for the longer femur to squat, and that’s also ok!

Squatting isn’t the only exercise to do for the legs, glutes, and core. If you have trouble because of this issue, try walking lunges, deadlifts, split lunges, step-ups with weight (or without), sliding lunges (use of the sliders), etc.

This is why understanding mechanics is so dang important! If we make the long femur athlete do exactly what the short femur athlete can do, it will result in injuries.

The best treatment or care for any human is the right exercise at the right time for the right person. Not a cookie cutter approach!

🌟 Continuing our ADHD series for kids🌟

When we work with our villages, we can help our kids develop the skills to be successful humans.

The first and foremost topic we need to discuss: their nervous system is dysregulated.

Imagine this: Your a kid. Just trying to do kid things. But your shirt isn't stretchy enough. Your hair is tickling your ear. You can hear the fan humming. The radio is playing your favorite song. Your big brother smells. Your mouth is dry and you need a drink of water. When is baseball practice? The pool sounds great right now. Where are your goggles? Did you flush the toilet earlier?

It sounds funny on a screen, but what if this is every moment of your day, every single day and you're only 10.

This is the beginning of a body and nervous system that lives in a fight or flight state. There are fewer moments of peace or quiet and your brain starts to wire to only have noise.

Medication can have a time and a place, but "pills don't create skills." We have to do the work with these kids too!
Medications can create the ✨space in the brain✨ to develop these skills! Many times the village starts to rely on the medications/supplements as the answer only. This is very wrong! They are tools and should be used as such!

Routines matter for these little humans. And sometimes summer can be 💥 much💥 harder for them.

Erratic bedtime and wake up times, practices at different times and days, days without breakfast and others with a big breakfast.... All of these play a role to create more dysregulation in a body and brain that is desperately trying to find "a normal."

These little bodies need exercise. They have an abundance of neural energy and will thrive with higher cardiovascular activities. Sports like hockey, soccer, basketball, cross country are perfect for their brains and bodies!

Adults do well with routines whether they want to admit it or not. Routines develop consistency. Consistency creates habits. Habits create health.

With kids, my recommendation is to focus on creating habits at the beginning and end of the day to start.
