One of the coolest things about being a therapist is having a moment with a client and realizing that I’m able to relate to them and help them because I experienced very similar painful experiences that just felt so cruel and pointless while they were happening. “Oh, so you mean I didn’t go through all that s**t for nothing?!” Exactly. It’s very zen and very healing. (And I’m not even talking about grief right now...) Those moments are priceless to me! 🦋🙌🏼
