If you're among the many relaxing in the sunshine, be sure to take a good chair. There's no one size fits all in camp/lounge chairs, but find a chair that has a few important features:
1. Upright chairs are better for lower back health . The low-slung, reclined chairs you've had for 10+ years may encourage a "rounded" back.
2. If you can't squat low enough to sit, getting up will probably be harder. Just like a regular chair, the back of your knees should hit the seat edge of the chair. Hug a tree, not your knees!
3. Many chairs now have lumbar support. New models also have higher backs to support shoulders and the base of your neck.
4. Pack it in, pack it out. Don't forget, you have to carry that chair to your destination then back home after a long day. Bulky, or exceedingly heavy chairs could cause fatigue or injuries.
Many stores will have chairs set up for display to find the right fit. Like trying on shoes. Pick one up, walk around with it, set up and fold down, sit in them a few times each.
