The most important job many of us will ever have is nurturing tiny humans into kind, capable, productive adults. It’s beautiful work… but it can also be exhausting.
Somewhere along the way, between work, packed schedules, practices, lunches, laundry and making sure everyone else is okay, it’s easy to lose sight of ourselves. We get so focused on pouring into everyone around us that we forget we need care too.
And I don’t mean “self care” in the trendy sense. Spa days, skinny margs, bougie Korean skin care and a little impulse shopping will only get you so far.
I mean nourishment. Energy. Sleep. Movement. Sunlight. Real food. Taking care of the body that carries the weight of so much.
That’s why I wanted to start coaching Holistic Nutrition after a bit of a hiatus. I see so many women struggling to find the right path to wellness. Believe me, I get it. I spent years getting beat down by the diet culture. I was never perfect enough, skinny enough, disciplined enough...blah blah blah.
Motherhood completely changed my perspective. I was no longer obsessed with trying to obtain some unrealistic version of my body. Instead, I wanted to learn how to truly nourish myself and my family. I can tell you the right path has nothing to do with deprivation and starvation. Quite the opposite actually.
It's not about shrinking ourselves.
It's not about punishing ourselves.
It is about reconnecting with habits that help us feel stronger, clearer, more energized and more present for the people who need us most.
