Between concerts, earbuds and summer activities, many teens experience more exposure to noise than most parents might think.

This noise exposure can increase the risk of hearing loss, which is why it’s essential to talk to your teenager about healthy hearing practices, hearing protection and avoiding louder noises whenever possible. A check-in with our hearing specialists can also help!

⭐️ Employee Spotlight
20 years - Pam Graves, M.S., FAAA 🤩🥳

Pam Graves is a familiar face at Premier Medical – West, especially to our audiology patients. After college, Pam completed her clinical fellowship at Dauphin West (now Premier Medical –West) and quickly came to appreciate the team approach in an ENT setting. After getting married, she left Mobile and pursued a career in private practice. Ten years later, Pam and her family returned to Mobile. Having valued the support of the physicians and the collaboration with fellow audiologists, Pam rejoined Premier Medical in 2006—and this year marks 20 years with Premier!
Over the years, Pam has enjoyed building meaningful relationships with her patients. She recalls one patient who had been coming to Premier for years. After Pam finished checking and adjusting her hearing aids, she would always say, “That’s done, so now tell me about you and what’s going on with your children.”

What Pam values most about being an audiologist is helping people reconnect with the world around them. Many patients withdraw socially because they struggle to hear. Once they take the step to get hearing aids, everything can change. They can hear again, talk with their grandchildren, attend church, celebrate weddings with family and friends, and enjoy so much more.
According to Pam, even after a long day, knowing you’ve positively impacted someone’s life is what it’s all about. Pam, thank you for caring for Premier’s patients and making a difference for more than 20 years! ❤️
