During Interim Executive Director Emily Dorland's final week with us in Mobile, our community came together for a fun afternoon of karaoke and celebration! Residents requested a Southern favorite, "Sweet Home Alabama, " and Emily happily delivered.

To make the day even more special, residents and staff surprised her with a thoughtful gift of appreciation that she never saw coming. The heartfelt gesture touched her deeply and made for a truly memorable moment. We wish you all the best on your next adventure!

Building a great community starts with great people.

This month’s Associate Meeting, led by Emily Dorland and Jessica Keith, was both inspiring and meaningful. We were especially delighted to welcome Jessica back as our Executive Director and are grateful to have her leadership and presence with us once again.

Emily and Jessica shared how each team member plays an important role in creating a welcoming, caring, and connected community for our residents and one another. Their message was a wonderful reminder that it’s the small acts of kindness, teamwork, and dedication that make Somerby feel like home.

Thank you, Emily and Jessica, for an engaging and heartfelt meeting that left us feeling encouraged, inspired, and excited for all that’s ahead.

One of the best parts of life in our community is sharing the things we love with others.

Our resident Gene recently invited his childhood friend, Collin, and our Life Engagement Director for a friendly round of mini golf near our community. What started as a simple game turned into an afternoon of smiles, laughter, and great conversation.

It's moments like these, sharing hobbies, friendships, and making memories, that make our community such a special place to call home.

Good food, great music, wonderful friends, and so much to celebrate at Somerby!
Our Assisted Living and Independent Living residents enjoyed a lively Birthday Bash and Housewarming Celebration filled with smiles, conversation, and community spirit. From celebrating our birthday stars to welcoming new neighbors, the afternoon was full of happy moments, new connections, and plenty of smiles.
It's days like these that make our community such a special place to call home.

Our residents participated in an engaging scam awareness presentation, gaining valuable knowledge on how to recognize fraud, protect personal information, and stay safe in today's world. What a beautiful Memorial Day afternoon! Our Independent Living residents came together to lead a meaningful program honoring the brave men and women who served our country.
A heartfelt thank you to the residents who shared their presentations and time to make the event so special. We are also grateful to Emily for her wonderful performances of patriotic classics, which added an extra touch of warmth and inspiration to the day.
